My pet peeve when it comes to book covers is when the book
cover includes photos of the characters in the book, this annoys me because I
think its important for you to imagine what the characters look like yourself.
I think when the character is shown to you it limits your imagination because
it already gives you a preconceived notion of what the character looks like. I
think this could affect the book because it shows you what the person looks
this could make you choose a personality, this could also make you choose an
accent of or way of speech based on what the character looks like. I think when
it comes to books it very important to imagine your own personality, and voice
for the characters. I also don’t like it when a cover is just a title and
author because it says nothing to do with any symbolism or character references
it’s just a bland title and author name, has not character.
I have the complete opposite mindset! I like to know how they picture the character and take that throughout the novel
